We are especially excited about Halloween this year because now that we are in a house we have more space for a Halloween party or for a Halloween Monster Party YAY!!

The HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 Digital release is on 9/25 and on 10/9 it will be available on Blu-ray and DVD Combo. Even though we already saw it on the big screen, we’ll also enjoy being able to watch it many times at home. I used the movie as an inspiration for my Halloween Monster Party!

I focused on the main treats and on the goody bags the kids take home which includes a fun craft for them. Let’s dive right in!

HALLOWEEN ENERGY BALLS

To bring a little bit of balance into all the Halloween candy, I made these Monster Energy Balls, they are made with cocoa, peanuts, and dates. Kids will love how they look and how they taste!

[MAKES ABOUT 8]
Ingredients:

• 1 cup of peanuts (unsalted)
• 1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
• 10 dates
• 1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter (salted)
• 1/4 cup of water
• To decorate: sprinkles, candy eyes, white chocolate chips, green icing, dark chocolate bar

Preparation:

1. Soak the dates in warm water for about 10 minutes, drain and pit.
2. Place the peanuts in a food processor and mix until they are almost like flour texture.
3. Add cocoa powder, dates, peanut butter, and water.
4. Process all this until it feels like a dough, if you need to, add a little bit more water to form the dough at the end.
5. Make the balls. Let them set on a tray in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
6. Using the sprinkles and candy, decorate the balls like some of the Hotel Transylvania 3 characters or any other monsters you’d like!

MURRAY THE MUMMY ENERGY BALL: Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler, let stand for 1 minute or until chocolate is smooth. Drizzle over the energy ball with a fork, making criss cross motions to resemble Murray, make sure to leave a un-drizzled space on the top for the eyes. After the chocolate dries, add the eyes with the green icing.

BLOBBY ENERGY BALL: Pour green sprinkles in a bowl and roll the ball in them (you might need to add some water with a brush to the ball first if they don’t stick). Add 2 candy eyes and done!

DRAC BAT ENERGY BALL: Use candy for fangs, chocolate bar broken into triangles for the wings and add candy eyes.

HALLOWEEN TREAT BAGS

You will need:

• Halloween treat bags and labels printable
• Halloween treat bags cut-outs printable
• Craft knife and scissors
• Double-sided tape
• Mini clothespins
• Glue sticks

How to make the treat bags: 

      [PREPARING THE BAGS] 

1. Download and print the Halloween treat bags and characters on white paper.
2. Cut the color rectangles of the bags with a craft knife.
3. Fold along the white marks trying not to mark the top part of the bag too much with the fold
4. Place a piece of double-sided tape on the inside of the left border.
5. Stick carefully over the right side of the bag to close it like a tube.
6. Fold bottom 2 times and close with double-sided tape.
7. Close the top gently grabbing the opposite sides of the bag, mark the fold just a little on the top.
8. Fold the top down to close it and then unfold it to make it ready for kids to craft and fill!

      [CRAFTING AND FILLING THE BAGS] 

1. Cut the treat bag labels and the cut-outs with a craft knife and scissors.
2. Guide kids to decorate their bags with their favorite Hotel Transylvania 3 characters and/or with their own monster creations using the glue stick. Keep in mind that the space on the bag will be forming a triangle.
3. Let kids fill their bags with the treats you have available!
4. Fold the top of the bag to close it, add a label and use a mini clothespin to secure it.
5. Ready to take the monster treats home and enjoy!

EXTRA TIPS!

• My suggestion when decorating for this is to always stick to a color palette of 2 to 4 colors, that makes a whole difference, your party will look very well put together even if you only have 4 things on the table!
• To set the table for this party, get all types of candy (within your color palette!) and place them in different containers so that kids can fill their treat bags. There is also an “instructions” printable that looks nice in a frame on the table.
  
  
• The Hotel Transylvania 3 Blu-ray has lots of fun extras. You could make the Halloween Monster Party a viewing party! After watching the movie play some of the extras like a “Monster Dance Party Dance Along” or the “Scary-Oke Sing-Along”, or just play the extras during the party, I think it will add a great touch!

IDEAS DE FIESTA DE MONSTROUS PARA HALLOWEEN

 

Este año estamos super emocionados con Halloween  porque ahora que estamos en una casa tenemos más espacio para hacer una fiesta de Halloween o para hacer una fiesta de monstruos de Halloween jeje ¡Yei!

La versión digital de la película HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 estará disponible a partir del 25/9 y el 9/10 en combo de Blu-ray y DVD. Aunque ya la vimos en la pantalla grande, también disfrutaremos de poder verla muchas veces en casa. ¡Utilicé la película como inspiración para hacer mi fiesta de monstruos de Halloween!

Me enfoqué en las meriendas principales y en las bolsitas de regalo que los niños se llevan a su casa como recuerdo de la fiesta, que también incluye una pequeña manualidad divertida para ellos. ¡Aquí la continuación les dejo de una las ideas!

BOLITAS ENERGÉTICAS DE HALLOWEEN

Para tratar de tener un poco de equilibrio con todos los dulces de Halloween, hice estas bolitas energéticas de monstruos, están hechas con cacao, maní y dátiles. ¡A los niños les encantará cómo se ven y cómo saben!

[RINDE 8 BOLITAS]
Ingredientes:

• 1 taza de maní (sin sal)
• 1/4 taza y 1 cucharadita de cacao en polvo
• 10 dátiles
• 1/3 taza de mantequilla de maní cremosa (con sal)
• 1/4 taza de agua
• Para decorar: chispitas, ojos hechos de caramelo, chips de chocolate blanco, glaseado verde, barra de chocolate oscuro

Preparación:

1. Remoja los dátiles en agua tibia durante unos 10 minutos, escúrrelos y quítales las semillas.
2. Coloca los manís en un procesador de alimentos y mezcla hasta que estén casi como la textura de harina.
3. Agrega el cacao en polvo, los dátiles, la mantequilla de maní y el agua.
4. Procesa todo esto hasta que se sienta como una masa, si es necesario, agrega un poquito más de agua para formar la masa al final.
5. Haz las bolitas y colócalas en una bandeja en la nevera por aproximadamente 30 minutos.
6. Usa los caramelos y las chispitas para decorar las bolitas como algunos de los personajes del Hotel Transylvania 3 o cualquier otro monstruo que quieras.

CÓMO HACER LA MOMIA MURRAY: Derrite el chocolate blanco en el microondas o en baño de María, dejar reposar durante 1 minuto o hasta que el chocolate esté suave. Agrega el chocolate derretido con un tenedor, haciendo movimientos entrecruzados para que se parezca a Murray, asegúrate de dejar un espacio sin líneas en la parte superior para los ojos. Después de que el chocolate se seque, agrega los ojos con el glaseado verde.

BOLITA TIPO BLOBBY: Vierte chispitas verdes en un bol y rueda la bolita en ellas hasta que esté completamente cubierta (puede que necesites agregar un poco de agua con una brocha a la bolita primero si no se pegan). ¡Agrega 2 ojitos de caramelo y listo!

BOLITA ENERGÉTICA TIPO MUERCIÉLAGO DRAC: Usa caramelo (pedazos de confitería para torata) para los colmillos, pica una barra de chocolate en triángulos para las alas y agrega ojos de caramelo.

BOLSITAS DE REGALO DE HALLOWEEN

Necesitarás:

• Imprimible de bolsitas de regalo y etiquetas de Halloween
• Imprimible de recortes para bolsitas de regalo de Halloween
• Cuchilla de manualides y tijeras
• Teipe doble faz 
• Mini pinzas para la ropa
• Pega de barra

Cómo hacer las bolsitas: 

      [PREPARACION DE LAS BOLSITAS] 

1. Descarga e imprime las bolsitas para la fiesta de monstrous de Halloween y los personajes en papel blanco.
2. Corta los rectángulos de color de las bolsas con un cuchillo artesanala cuchilla de manualidades.
3. Dobla a lo largo de las rayitas blancas tratando de no marcar demasiado la parte superior de la bolsa con el doblez.
4. Coloca un teipe doble faz por dentro del borde izquierdo.
5. Pega con cuidado sobre el lado derecho de la bolsa para cerrarla como un tubo.
6. Dobla abajo 2 veces y cierra con teipe doble faz.
7. Cierre la parte superior agarrando suavemente los lados opuestos de la bolsa, marca el doblez solo un poco en la parte superior.
8. Dobla la parte de arriba hacia abajo para cerrarla y luego ábrela para que esté lista para que los niños la decoren y rellenen.

      [MANUALIDAD CON LAS BOLSITAS Y RELLENO] 

1. Corta las etiquetas de las bolsitas y las figuras con una cuchila o con tijeras.
2. Guía a los niños para que decoren sus bolsitas con sus personajes favoritos del Hotel Transylvania 3  y/o con sus propias creaciones de monstruos usando la barrita de pega. Ten en cuenta que el espacio en la bolsa formará un triángulo.
3. ¡Deja que los niños llenen sus bolsitas con las golosinas que tengas disponibles!
4. Dobla la parte superior de la bolsa para cerrarla, agrega una etiqueta y usa una mini pinza para asegurarla.
5. Listo para llevar el monstruo a casa y disfrutar!

 ¡MÁS IDEAS!

• Mi sugerencia al momento de decorar para esta fiesta es que usen una paleta de colores de 2 a 4 colores máximo, eso hace una gran diferencia, ¡su fiesta se verá bien chévere, aunque solo tengan 4 cositas en la mesa!
• Para poner la mesa para esta fiesta les recomiendo pongan bastantes tipos de dulces (¡dentro de su paleta de colores!) en diferentes recipientes para que los niños puedan llenar sus bolsas de golosinas. También les incluí en los imprimbles una hoja de “instrucciones” que se ve linda en un marco sobre la mesa.
• El Hotel Transylvania 3 Blu-ray tiene muchos videos extras divertidos. ¡Una idea es hacer que la fiesta de monstrous de Halloween gire en torno a ver la película primero! Después de ver la película pueden poner algunos de los extras como “Monster Dance Party Dance Along” (Pasos de baile) o “Scary-Oke Sing-Along” (Karaoke); o simplemente pongan los videos extras durante la fiesta, ¡creo que le añadirá un gran toque!
