This year I made Valentines for Maya’s class only. Adrian is in 6th grade and he doesn’t do Valentines anymore!! As I am writing this, I am thinking of all the cute Valentine cards and crafts we have made through the years and I did enjoy it but time goes by and things change. Oh well! I’m so glad I’ve documented them here, thanks for coming along with me!

I love tassels and I’ve been eyeing some tutorials on Pinterest, I got the duct tape idea from Jamie Sanders’ blog. They are pretty easy to make and then I added the heart printables to give them to Maya’s class. I made a set in English and a set in Spanish, so choose whichever works best for you.

Supplies:

• Pencils
• Duct tape in different colors
• Scissors
• Heart printables

Instructions:

TO MAKE THE TASSLE TOPPER

1. Cut a piece of duct tape of about 10 inches long, lay on the table with the sticky side up, then cut another 10″ piece and stick it right on top so you have a duck tape band that has no sticky on both sides.
2. If necessary cut excess on top and bottom.
3. Now cut the tassle strips, leaving about 1/4″ without strips.
4. Use a small piece of duct tape to adhere the tassle band to the pencil.
5. Roll all the tassle band on the pencil.
6. At the end use another duct tape strip to stick it together.

TO ADD THE HEART PRINTABLE

1. Download the printable here: English/Spanish.
2. Cut the hearts, then cut a slit about 3/4″ with a craft knife on the top left and right side of the heart so that the pencil can go through.
3. Pass the pencil through both slits.

 

I hope you enjoy these as much as Maya does, she is very excited to take them to school tomorrow!

Oh and at the bottom of each heart there is a space for the child to write their name so they know who gave it.

ADORNOS PARA LÁPICES EN SAN VALENTÍN CON IMPRIMIBLES

Este año hice Valentines solo para la clase de Mayita. Adrian está en sexto grado y ya no hace Valentines!! Mientras escribo esto, pienso en todas las tarjeticas y manualidades de San Valentín que hemos hecho a través de los años y todo lo que disfruté, pero el tiempo pasa y las cosas cambian. ¡Ni modo! Estoy tan contenta de haberlos documentado aquí, ¡gracias por acompañarme!

Me encantan los tassles y he estado viendo algunos tutoriales en Pinterest, saqué la idea de hacerlos con teipe tipo Duck del blog de Jamie Sanders. Son bastante fáciles de hacer y luego agregué los imprimibles para dárselos a la clase de Maya. Hice unos en inglés y otros en español, así que pueden eligir el que mejor se adapte a ustedes.

Materiales:

• Lapices
• Teipe marca Duck (teipe fuerte) en diferentes colores.
• Tijeras
• Imprimibles

Instrucciones:

PARA HACER LA PARTE DE ARRIBA DEL LAPIZ

1. Corta un trozo de teipe de aproximadamente 10 pulgadas de largo, ponlo sobre la mesa con el lado adhesivo hacia arriba, luego corta otro trozo de 10″ y pégalo encima para se haga una banda que no tenga adhesivo en ningún lado.
2. Si es necesario, corta el exceso en la parte superior e inferior de la banda de teipe.
3. Ahora corta tiritas, dejando aproximadamente 1/4″ de la banda de teipe sin tiras.
4. Usa un trozo pequeño de teipe para pegar la banda con tiritas al lápiz.
5. Enrolla toda la banda de tiritas en el lápiz.
6. Al final, use otro pedazo de teipe para pegarla al final.

PARA AÑADIR EL CORAZON IMPRIMIBLE

1. Descarga el imprimible aquí: inglés/español.
2. Corta los corazones, luego corta dos rendijas de aproximadamente 3/4″ con un exacto en la parte superior izquierda y derecha del corazón para que el lápiz pueda pasar.
3. Por último pasa el lápiz por ambas rendijas y listo.

 

Espero que los disfruten tanto como Maya, ¡ella está muy emocionada de llevarlos al colegio mañana!

Ah, y en la parte de abajo de cada corazón queda espacio para que los niños escriban su nombre para que sepan quién lo dio.
