Es tan chévere poder cocinar comidas y bebidas venezolanas desde aquí. La verdad es una de las mejores maneras de mantener la herencia hispana y en este caso venezolana en nuestra familia.
La Chicha Venezolana es una bebida muy rica hecha a base de arroz y resulta como una merengada, lleva leche y es dulcita, es muy típica en Venezuela, nunca la había hecho yo misma ni cuando vivía allá!
Aquí fué un éxito, a todos les encantó y hasta hice heladitos con lo que sobró.
La receta de la Chicha la pueden encontrar en el blog de mi amiga Bren Herrera, ella tiene una serie llamada “A través de Latinoamérica” donde presenta recetas ricas celebrando este mes de la herencia hispana y además chequen que maravilla de recetas tiene ella.

It is such a pleasure to be able to cook traditional Venezuelan food and drinks from here. It’s one of the best ways to keep and maintain our Hispanic heritage and in this case Venezuelan in our family.
Venezuelan Chicha is a yummy rice drink that ends up tasting like a milkshake, it has milk and it’s sweet. It’s very traditional in Venezuela, but I actually had never made it myself not even when I lived there!
It was a success over here, the kids and Derek loved it and I even made popsicles with what was left.
