Today I am presenting RUST General Store for the Cool Places in San Diego series. This store is in Old Town San Diego, here is Old Town‘s website with tons of info but in short, it’s considered the birthplace of California, the first signs of Spanish settlement here. I love to go there, I posted about Old Town a while back too when I visited with Mayita.
This time we went in a nice sunny Sunday, we took some food, walked around the streets and the shops and had a picnic, it’s always a great time.
I don’t remember ever going into Rust store before, but this time I almost couldn’t get out! There are so many items there to check out and it’s very eye candy.
The store is set-up as a general store in the 1800th century and the products are meant to reflect what people used to buy and trade back then, they have all kinds of things! I want to remember this store to go back for when I need a gift, they have unique products that you can’t really find anywhere else. The cashiers dress-up also as if they were living in those days so you really get a feeling of stepping back in time. Look at the pictures for some of cool the products you can find!

Hoy les quiero presentar a RUST General Store en la serie de Lugares chéveres de San Diego. Esta tiendita está en Old Town San Diego, aquí está la página de Old Town con mucha información para los que no conocen pero rápidamente les cuento que lo consideran el lugar de nacimiento de California donde se establecieron los primeros españoles. A mi me encanta ir ahí, ya les he contado antes de Old Town una ve que fuí con Mayita.
Esta vez nos fuimos todos un domingo, paseamos por las callecitas, las tienditas y hasta nos llevamos nuestro picnic.
No me acuerdo de ver de haber entrado antes a esta tienda Rust pero una vez que entré no podía salir! Hay tantas cositas lindas y ricas y todo tan ordenadito.
La tienda está diseñada simulando a como eran las tiendas en los 1800 y los productos que venden son mas o menos los tipos de productos que compraba y que interambiaba la gente en ese entonces, tienn tantas cosas tan peculiares! Me quiero acordar de regresar a esta tienda cuando neesite un regalito porque hay cositas muy únicas que no se encuentran en cualquier lado. Hasta los que atienden se visten como del antaño, así que cuando uno está ahí adentro de verdad se siente metido en esa época. vean las fotos con detalle para que se den una idea de las cositas que pueden encontrar!
