    The Desert View Tower: A Hidden Gem

    During our week of staycation last year we went to The Desert View Tower. It’s an awesome place in the middle of the Interstate Highway 8. It is about an hour away from San Diego.

    To remind you, our staycation week is a week I take off during Summer and spend it with the kids in San Diego and surroundings. It’s usually the last week of Summer for us and this year will be our 3rd year keeping this tradition! I get very excited about these things!! Oh and the kids now call it Mami Camp!

    The Desert View Tower is something so unique. The tower was built in 1922 as a monument to the pioneers and road builders of the time. Continue Reading

    Our holiday traditions are getting more defined as the years pass. Some of them stick some of them don’t, it’s just hard to do them all. At the end, Christmas Eve…
