Last year Adrian went to several camps, 2 of them were in Spanish and I loved them. This year we are taking him back to one of them: Bilingual Kids, this time, he will be there for 4 weeks, the camp starts July 8th and it lasts all month, it’s a full immersion sSpanishcamp that has so many activities for the kids: music, games, arts and crafts, literature, outdoor activities and field trips.I love it so much and I’m happy he can go again because it will be a great reinforcement for his Spanish now that he spent his first year in a full immersion school and he knows how to read and write in Spanish and English! Can you believe it? I almost can’t!
Anyways, the location of this camp is the best in town, it’s super close to Balboa Park (now in Balboa City School) which if you don’t know San Diego, when you come, Balboa Park is the first place you have to visit! It’s a huge park full of museums, theaters and culture, the zoo is also located there. So the field trips they have are neat, they go to many museums during the whole camp.
I went through the photos from last year and it was nice to remember the experience, so many learning activities in Spanish and how they divided the kids in groups according to their Spanish level, even though it was only for a week, Adrian did a lot so this year will be very very fun!! El año pasado Adri fué a varios campamentos de verano, 2 de ellos eran en español y nos encantaron. Este año lo llevaremos de nuevo a uno de ellos, se llama Bilingual Kids, estará allí por 4 semanas, el campamento empieza el 8 de Julio y dura un mes, es un campamento de inmersión total de español y tienen muchas actividades para los niños: música, juegos, manualidades, literatura, actividades al aire libre y paseos.A me fascina y estoy tan contenta de que pueda ir de nuevo porque le reforzará el español ahora después de ya terminó su primer año en el colegio de inmersión en español y ya sabe leer y escribir en español e inglés, lo pueden creer?? Yo casi que no me lo creo!
El lugar del campamento es muy chévere porque está al ladito de Balboa Park (en el Balboa City School), que si no conocen San Diego, es el primer lugar que deben visitar, es un parque bellísimo llenos de muchos museos, teatros y cultura, el zoológico también está ahí. Entones los paseos que hacen son cheverísimos, van a muchos de los museos durante todo el campamento.
Yo estuve viendo las fotos del año pasado y acordándome de todo, de las actividades de español en papel y de que los dividen en grupos de acuerdo al nivel que tengan de español. Aunque fué por una semana hizo tanto, así que esta vez será buenísimo!!! Si están en San Diego se los recomiendo mucho, inscríbanse en la página de Bilingual Kids.
