I have a long list of San Diego places to visit that I keep adding and adding so I can go check them out and then come back and show them to you here. I love capturing the essence of the place and then reporting my experience. I’m so happy I finally get to share a new one today!
This time we went to Café Madeleine in South Park San Diego. I love the fact that it has great food to offer other than coffee, I actually didn’t know what to expect since I usually don’t research the place that much, I love to be surprised!
I went with the kids during that week of staycation we took before school started and we enjoyed a relaxing time there. The coffee menu is extensive, they also have some bottled drinks so there is plenty to choose from so I was able to order my favorite, a yummy iced latte (that passed my tastebuds test!) and a veggie crepe which was delicious. For the kids I ordered a ham and cheese panini and they liked it. They also have quiches, salads and sweet crepes.
There are different kind of places to sit, inside they have some regular table and chairs, some cozy cushioned seats by the windows and outside there are plenty of tables and chairs. We loved the big table by the window. On the side of the café there is a pretty huge mural and small tables for two, it looks very cosy too. The whole feel of the café is parisian style as well as the food.
If I lived close-by it I think I would be a regular to this café, I really wish there was a café close to me with a great personality like Café Madeleine! The streets around here in South Park are very nice to walk by, after our visit we walked a little and enjoyed looking around the neighborhood.

Vegetarian Crepe

Yo tengo una lista laarga de lugares para ir a conocer en San Diego a la que sigo añadiendo y añadiendo para ir y luego regresar y mostrarles a ustedes aquí. Me encanta capturar la esencia del lugar en fotos y venir a contarles mi experiencia. Estoy contenta de poder venir hoy a enseñarles uno nuevo!!
Esta vez fuimos al Café Madeleine en South Park San Diego. Me encanta el hecho de que es un cafecito pero también ofrece comida buena. La verdad no sabía con qué me iba a encontrar ya que normalmente no investigo el lugar mucho antes de ir, ¡me encanta sorprenderme!
Ham and cheese Panini
Me fui con los niños durante esa semana que me tomé de vacaciones en nuestra ciudad antes de que comenzara el colegio y disfrutamos bien chévere ahí. El menú de cafés es muy amplio, también tienen algunas bebidas embotelladas así que hay mucho de donde elegir. Pude pedir mi cafecito favorito, un café con leche frío (y que además pasó mi prueba jaja!). Pedí una crepe vegetariana, que estaba bien rica. A los niños les pedí un panini de jamón y queso y les gustó. También tienen quiches, ensaladas y crepes dulces.
Hay diferentes sitios para sentarse, adentro tienen mesitas y sillas normales, también unos asientos acolchados al lado de las ventanas y afuera hay un montón de mesitas también. A nosotros nos encantó la mesa grande junto a la ventana. Por al lado del café hay un mural grande lindo y mesas pequeñas para dos personas, que se ven muy acogedoras también. Todo el ambiente del café es de estilo parisiense, así como la comida.
Si viviera cerquita de este café sería una de las clientas regulares, me gustaría que hubiera un cafecito así con bastante personalidad cerca de mí como el Café Madeleine. Las calles alrededor de ahí en South Park son muy agradables para caminar, después de nuestra visita caminamos un poco y disfrutamos viendo alrededor.
