It’s always fun to stop by and check out what’s going on for the Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Last time we went to Universal for the Holidays was 2 years ago!! The day we went about a week ago was soooo cold, we needed bigger jackets than what you see us wearing, you wouldn’t believe you were in Los Angeles.
Anyways! First things first: On our way to the entrance we checked out the HUGE (exactly 40 feet tall) Christmas tree at Universal CityWalk –see the photo with the tree that has blue and gold ornaments.
Then right after we entered we went to visit Who-ville to find The Grinch in the Grinchmas area. I think that’s one of the musts because he is so funny! The line is always long to meet him and take pictures with him, this time we skipped it and decided to take a photo with Max-the-dog.
My favorite part of Whoville is the tree, it’s always a different one I loved this year’s tree, they call it topsy-turvy “Grinchmas” tree! It twists and turns and it’s over 55 feet high, going to see the tree lighting is also a must, you got to get there at least 15 minutes before it starts because they close it off and not everybody can fit.
The lights are choreographed to music and they do a fun show during the lighting, the Who-ville Whos and The Grinch come out and participate accompanied by snow falling!
All the park is decorated for the Holidays, find the photo in the post with the 3 Holiday decorations and guess where do they belong!
Straight after visiting Grinchmas we went to Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Adrian loves both rides in there, the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff. I rode them once with him, at least Maya likes the Hippogriff one so they both did that one together by themselves, –this was a first!!
They have the famous a capella Frog Choir, warm Butterbeer and custom-made Christmas ornaments for the holiday season.
One of the musts from the Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood is the light show of Hogwarts Castle, you can’t miss this if you go! We were freezing at this point but we watched it!! You also need to get there early to get a good spot to see it.
What I enjoy the most when we go to places is watching them enjoy and of course, take pictures of these memories! / Lo que más disfruto yo cuando vamos a sitios así es verlos disfrutar y claro, tomarles fotos para guardar estos recuerdos!
The Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood will be going on every day until Sunday December 29th, for more info check out Universal’s website. For New Year’s eve they have a special celebration called EVE, fireworks, food, cocktails, party favors, they will be open until 2am January 1st 2020! Check it out here for more info!

TEMPORADA NAVIDEÑA EN UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD
Siempre es divertido pasar por Universal Studios Hollywood y ver lo que ofrecen en la temporada navideña.
¡La última vez que fuimos a Universal para las navidades fue hace 2 años! Esta vez hacía muchísimo frío, la verdad necesitábamos chaquetas más grandes de lo que ven en las fotos, no se sentía que estuvieras en Los Angeles.
Lo primerito que vimos fue de camino a la entrada del parque: el árbol de Navidad enorme(exactamente 40 pies de altura) en Universal CityWalk: vean la foto con el árbol que tiene adornos azules y dorados.
Justo después de entrar, fuimos a Who-ville a buscar al Grinch en lo que llaman Grinchmas. ¡Me parece algo que no hay que dejar de hacer porque es muy cómico! La cola siempre es larga para conocerlo y tomarse fotos con él, esta vez no lo hicimos y decidimos tomar una foto con el perrito Max.
Mi parte favorita de Grinchmas es el árbol, siempre es diferente, me encantó el árbol de este año, ¡lo llaman el árbol “Grinchmas” al revés! Es como girado, enrevesado y tiene más de 55 pies de altura. Hay que quedarse a ver cuando iluminan el árbol, es chévere, deben llegar al menos 15 minutos antes de que comience porque cierran el área una vez que se llene y no todos pueden caber.
Las luces están coreografiadas con música y hacen un espectáculo divertido durante la iluminación, ¡Who-ville Whos y el Grinch salen y participan acompañados de nieve!

Todo el parque está decorado para la temporada navideña, en este post les puse una foto con 3 decoraciones navideñas, ¡tienen que adivinar de qué parte del parque son!
Inmediatamente después de visitar Grinchmas fuimos a “Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter”, Adrian ama los dos rides que hay allí, el “Forbidden Journey” y “Flight of the Hippogriff”. Yo me monté una vez con él, y al menos a Maya le gusta el del Hippogriff, así que ambos lo hicieron solitos, ¡esta fue la primera vez!
Tienen el coro famoso de las ranas a capella, la bebida Butterbeer caliente y adornos navideños hechos a la medida para la temporada.
Una de las coas que no se deben perder en esta temporada en Universal Studios Hollywood es el espectáculo de luces del castillo de Hogwarts, nosotros nos estábamos congelando ya para cuando lo vimos pero lo nos quedamos a verlo! También deben llegar temprano para obtener un buen lugar para verlo.
La temporada navideña en Universal Studios Hollywood continuará todos los días hasta el domingo 29 de diciembre, para obtener más información, vayan a la página web de Universal.
