This activity is one of those things that you think why didn’t we do these before? It’s so fun!

By accident (literally) we ended up with the mix and tools to make giant bubbles.

We were at Balboa Park watching this guy make giant bubbles for the kids out there. Maya and Adrian started chasing them, Adrian fell into a water fountain while chasing it so the guy was super nice and gave us one of the mixes he sells!

As soon as we came home the kids played with them out here. It’s such a fun and easy activity for them. We used up all the mix really quick but it’s not hard to put together.

Here is the recipe to make giant bubbles:

• 5 oz of dishwashing soap
• 1 tsp. of Guar Gum
• 1 gallon of tap water
• 2 tsp of Baking powder

Mix the first 3 ingredients gently then mix the baking powder last.

To make the bubble wands, tie two pieces of cotton string to two wooden rods really well so they make a loop. You can see the size of the container we had to place the bubble wand in, it doesn’t have to be too big to work!

Now invite some friends and have lots of fun with the giant bubbles!

ACTIVIDAD AL AIRE LIBRE: BURBUJAS GIGANTES

 

Esta actividad es una de esas cosas que uno dice, bueno y ¿por qué no hicimos esto antes? ¡Son tan divertidas estas burbujas!

Resulta que (literalmente) por accidente terminamos con la mezcla y las herramientas para hacer burbujas gigantes.

Estábamos en Balboa Park viendo a un señor que hace burbujas gigantes para los niños allí. Maya y Adrian empezaron a perseguirlas, y Adri se cayó en una fuente de agua mientras perseguía una de las burbujas sin darse cuenta, así que el señor fue super nice y nos regaló una de sus mezclas que el vende!

Apenas llegamos a la casa los niños jugaron con las burbujas aquí. Es una actividad tan divertida y fácil para ellos. Nos acabamos toda la mezcla muy rápido, pero no es difícil de hacerla.

 

Aquí está la receta para hacer burbujas gigantes:

• 5 oz de jabón de lavar platos
• 1 cucharadita de Guar Gum
• 1 galón de agua
• 2 cucharaditas de polvo de hornear

Mezclar los primeros 3 ingredientes suavemente y luego mezcla el polvo de hornear en último lugar.

Para hacer las varitas que hacen las burbujas, amarra bien dos cuerdas a dos palitos de madera para que hagan como un círculo. El tamaño del contendor de la mezcla no tiene que ser grande, fíjense en el que usamos nosotros, con tal de que las cuerdas quepan ya sirve!

¡Ahora inviten a algunos amiguitos y diviértanse con las burbujas gigantes!
