Celebrating Disney’s New Princess: Elena of Avalor

It’s so exciting to welcome a new Disney Princess! Today I’m introducing you to Elena of Avalor, we can see her in her new TV show which will launch this Friday, July 22nd at 7pm on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

We received a fun kit with lots of Elena of Avalor crafts and decorations so Mayita asked to invite her friends to see the featured episode that is available on the channel’s app right now, and to have a playdate with her friends celebrating Elena!

This new Princess Elena of Avalor, is a Latina princess! It’s so cool and exciting to see her world filled with many things inspired by the Latin culture; the architecture where they live, the mountains, animals, her family and the music!

I feel that through the show Maya can get to know a little more of the Latin culture, my favorite part is definitely the music, I have the song stuck in my head all day and every time I hear it, it makes me want to dance!! I also love that Elena plays guitar with her grandfather.

To celebrate with Maya’s friends I got some Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce), I offered lemonade and fruits. The girls were fascinated with everything. They had fun coloring a fabric runner, they each made a scepter like Elena’s and they built a Skylar out of paper. Skylar is the princess’ pet and is a mixture of jaguar with a macaw, these animals also fascinated me! They look very mystical and super colorful.

The series is full of adventure, magic and music. The princess is just learning to reign Avalor with her new grand council; you can already tell she has great courage and bravery but at the same time she is very loving and dedicated to her family and friends .

On Thursday, July 21 at 5pm PT /8pm ET there will be a Twitter party [#ElenaOfAvalorTwitterParty] celebrating the new series. You are cordially invited, there will be prices and you can get to know more about the princess!

CELEBRANDO A LA NUEVA PRINCESA DE DISNEY: ELENA DE AVALOR

Que emoción es recibir y conocer a una nueva princesa de Disney! Hoy les presento a Elena de Avalor, la conoceremos en la tele, será una serie y se estrena este viernes 22 a las 7pm en el Disney Channel. 

Una vez que nos enteramos Mayita dijo que quería invitar a sus amiguitas a ver el pequeño episodio que está disponible ahorita en la App del canal, además recibimos muchas cositas para adornar y hacer manualidades, entonces hicimos una celebración en la casa! 

Y es que esta nueva princesa Elena, es latina! Es muy chévere y emocionante ver dentro de su mundo muchas cosas inspiradas en la cultura latina, la arquitectura donde viven, las montañas, los animales, la familia y la música!

Siento que a través del show puedo mostrarle un poco más a Maya de la culura latina, mis parte favorita desde ya es la música, tengo la cancioncita pegada y cada vez que la pongo me provoca bailar!! Me encanta que Elena toca la guitarra junto con su abuelo.

Para celebrar yo compré pancitos dulces mexicanos, ofrecí limonada y fruticas. Las niñas estaban fascinadas con todo, se divirtieron coloreando un mantelito, hicieron un cetro como el de Elena y un Skylar de papel. Skylar es la mascota de la princesa y es una mezcla de jaguar con guacamaya, esos animales también me fascinaron! Se ven como muy místicos y super coloridos.

La serie está llena de aventura, magia y música, la princesa apenas está aprendiendo a reinar Avalor junto a su nuevo comité, desde ya se ve que tiene mucha valentía y audacia siendo a la vez muy amorosa y dedicada a su familia y amigos. 

Este jueves 21 de julio a las 8pm PT habrá una fiesta en Twitter celebrando la nueva serie, ¡están cordialmente invitados!
