This past weekend we went to see the musical Peter Pan at the Moonlight Stage. Going to the theater with the family is one of my favorite things to do. I still remember vividly the many plays my mom took us when we were little and I loved it so much! I now know that exposing the kids to all types of arts will enrich their lives so when we have an opportunity, we’ll run for it! Haha!
But this theater the Moonlight Stage, is special, it’s an outdoor amphitheater and they usually have great plays for kids and adults during the Summer. I had to come and tell you because if you live in San Diego I urge to go and experience it! I think many San Diegans don’t know about this place. Oh and for those of you not in San Diego, look for an outdoor amphitheater in your city! It’s the best experience!!
The Moonlight offers many different types of seating, you can even reserve lawn spaces, my favorite part is that you can take your own picnic and set it up right there, bring your sandwiches, cookies, fruits, whatever you like! And even though it;s summer I recommend you bring blankets, in case you get cold easily like my kiddos and me 🙂
You will create such great memories for the whole family, I know we will be talking about these days in the future for sure, we’re already looking forward to the next Moonlight production!
Oh and you still have time to check out Peter Pan, it is an amazing production, very well put together, Adrian and Maya were fascinated, I thought Maya was going to fall asleep in the middle of the play because it was so late (they start at 8pm) but she said: I’m sleepy Mami but I want to stay awake to see what happens. And she did!

Un teatro cheverísimo en San Diego: El Moonlight Stage

Este fin de semana pasado fuimos a ver el musical Peter Pan en el Moonlight Stage, ir al teatro con la familia es una de mis cosas favoritas. Todavía recuerdo clarito muchas de las obras de teatro a la que nos llevó mi mamá cuando éra chiquita como me encantaba! Ahora sé queel exponer a los niños a todo tipo de arte enriquece muchísimo sus vidas, así que cuando tenemos la oportunidad, vamos corriendo!
Pero este teatro, Moonlight Stage, es especial, es un anfiteatro al aire libre y por lo general tienen obras de teatro para niños y adultos durante su temporada de verano. Después de ir este fin pensé que tenía que venir al blog a contarles porque es que si viven en San Diego, VAYAN YA!! Creo que muchos residentes de San Diego no han ni siquiera oido hablar de este teatro. Ah, y para aquellos que no viven en San Diego, busquen un anfiteatro al aire libre en su ciudad! Es la mejor experiencia!!
Moonlight Stage variedad de asientos, pueden hasta reservar espacios en la grama (césped), mi parte favorita es que uno puede llevar su propio picnic y comérselo ahí mientras que ves la obra, uno se lleva sus sanduchitos, galleticas, frutas, lo que quieran! Y a pesar de que es verano y hace calorcito les recomiendo que llevan cobijas si son friolentos como mis hijos y yo!
La verdad van a crear unos momentos que vivirán en la memoria de todos en el futuro; yo estoy segurísima de que nosotros estaremos hablando de cuando fuimos a ver Peter Pan en unos cuantos años. Ya estamos viendo cual es la siguiente obra que queremos ver en el Moonlight Stage!
Ah, y todavía tienen tiempo para ver a Peter Pan, es una producción increíble, muy bien hecha, Adrian y Maya estaban fascinados, pensé que Mayita se iba a quedar dormida en la mitad de la obra, ya que era tarde (empiezan a las 8 pm) pero ella me dijo: Tengo sueño Mami pero quiero estar despierta para ver qué pasa. ¡Y así fué!
