Multicultural Dance

Yesterday the kids had the en-of-the-year dance. The school usually celebrates by having a Multicultural dance, each grade represents a country and this year they picked countries that in the Olympics and they even do a flag walk at the beginning, it’s pretty exciting.

This was Mayita’s first year dancing and she was super excited plus she learned the samba steps so well! Adrian did Tango from Argentina and he told several facts he learned like he needed to be serious for the dance because that’s the way they do it and that this dance is like a painting where the men act as the frame, they have to be strong and act as a support for the ladies 🙂 How cool is that?!

Ayer los niños tuvieron el baile de fin de año. El colegio siempre con un baile multicultural, cada grado representa un país y este año escogieron de países que participan en los juegos olímpicos e incluso hacen un desfile con las banderas al principio de todo, lo cual es bien emocionante.

Este fue el primer año en el que Mayita bailó y estaba súper emocionada, ¡además aprendió los pasos de samba tan bien! Adrian bailó el Tango de Argentina y me contó varias cosas que aprendió, como que el tenía  que estar serio para el baile porque esa es la forma en que lo hacen y que este baile es como una pintura donde los hombres actúan como el marco, que tienen que ser fuertes y son el soporte para las damas 🙂 ¿Me pareció muy chévere?!
