Kinder Graduation

It might seem just a little accomplishment I mean, after all, it’s only Kindergarten graduation. But, all accomplishments must be celebrated no matter how big or small. Mayita just completed her first year of Spanish Immersion school, where for the first time she was introduced to reading and writing in Spanish!

I can remember like it was yesterday when it was hard for her to even write her name or how she would refuse to speak Spanish many times, and now she proudly says: Mami, I know how to speak Spanish! I can’t explain how amazing that makes me feel, not only that she really knows it but that she is proud of it. And she is no longer a baby, oh my!!! ready for 1st grade, we’re so thankful!!

Podría parecer un logro chiquitico, después de todo, es sólo kinder. Sin embargo, todos los logros deben celebrarse no importa cuán grande o pequeños sean. Mayita acaba de completar su primer año en el colegio de inmersión en español, donde por primera vez le enseñaron a leer y a escribir en español.

Me acuerdo como si fuera ayer cuando se le hacía dificiltan sólo escribir su nombre o cómo se negaba a hablar español muchas veces, y ahora dice con mucho orgullo: ¡Mami, yo si sé hablar español! No puedo explicar lo maravilloso que me hace sentir eso, no sólo que ella realmente si lo sabe pero que además está orgullosa de ella misma. Y ya no es una bebé!!! Lista para 1er grado, estamos tan agradecidos!!
