There are so many Apps out there that it’s really hard to keep track. As soon as I see an App that has Spanish somehow, I go ahead and try it. So I did it right away with Mundo Lanugo’s App.
This one is special to me because I’ve been following the founder of the brand Mundo Lanugo: Carla Curiel. She started the company based on her dream to pass her Latino values to her kids and the App is just one of the products. Of course, I identify 100% with her! It’s not only about passing the Spanish, it’s the richness of the culture and all our heritage.
What I love about Mundo Lanugo App:
I downloaded the App and studied it all by myself first before giving it to Maya.
It comes only in Spanish. I love this because there is no other choice for the kids, many times if there is English they learn to change it and not use it in Spanish.
It has many activities to explore. There is something for everyone. You can play with music and learn some latin songs, you can cook some latin good, you can also go to the market, play with Latino traditional toys and many more. Oh and all this without in-App purchases!
The graphics are beautiful. It’s really a visual entertainment for the eyes, I think that’s important, (ahem, here is the graphic designer talking!) everything plays well together, colors and shapes 🙂 Their little world is very cute to explore!
By the way, Maya’s favorite activity is helping Gloria get ready for adventures by dressing her up as her favorite characters Don Quijote, Carnaval Queen, Calavera and others.

Hay tantas Apps nuevas que es muy difícil seguirlas y probarlas todas. Yo apenas veo que sale una App para niños que usa español de alguna manera la quiero bajar y probarla. Así que así hice de inmediato con la App de Mundo Lanugo.
Esta App es especial para mí porque conozco y he estado siguiendo la fundadora de la marca Mundo Lanugo por un buen tiempo: Carla Curiel. Carla comenzó la empresa basada en su sueño personal de enseñarle sus valores latinos a sus hijas y la App es sólo uno de los productos que tiene. Por supuesto, que me identifico 100% con ella y como ella dice, no es sólo el hecho de que aprendan español, es enseñarles la riqueza de la cultura y de todo nuestro patrimonio latino.
Lo que me encanta de la aplicación de Mundo Lanugo:
Descargué la aplicación y me puse a explorar todo yo sola primero antes de dársela a Maya.
Viene solamente en español. Me encanta esto porque no hay otra opción para los niños, muchas veces si hay Inglés aprenden a cambiarlo y luego no lo quieren usar en español.
Tiene muchas actividades para explorar. Hay algo para todos los gustos. Pueden jugar con la música y aprender algunas canciones latinas, pueden cocinar comida latina como guacamole y ceviche; también pueden ir al mercado, jugar con juguetes latinos tradicionales y muchas cositas más. ¡Ah, y todo esto sin compras adicionales dentro de la App!
Los gráficos son bellos. Es realmente un entretenimiento para los ojos, y me parece que eso es importante (Ajem, aquí les habla la diseñadora gráfica en mí!). Todos los gráficos se ven chéveres juntos, los colores y los diseños son lindos 🙂 El Mundo Lanugo es muy lindo para explorar (Tienen que ver la forma de la casa de Chuy donde se cocina!!!).
La actividad favorita de Maya es ayudar a Gloria a prepararse para las aventuras y vestirla como sus personajes favoritos de Don Quijote, reina de carnaval, calaca y más.
