This is my third and final post about New Orleans, you can check the first post about my trip and explore New Orleans with me here and my second post about exploring around Bourbon Street right here.
After visiting the most famous parts of New Orleans it was time to head to the other direction. Every time we came out of the hotel, my little voice in my head was telling me: Pssst, you want to turn right this time instead of always left and explore what’s on this side, please, let’s go?!
So I was finally able to do that, thankfully I had my sister with me, I do love a photowalk with company and my sister was willing to wait meanwhile I stopped everywhere to take photos!
You can find regular office buildings but the architecture varies and it’s a nice surprise to see very old buildings mixed with new ones, I love to see the old door knobs and pay attention to any details along the street like the design of the manhole covers.
Bourbon street is just one long street but all around it the other streets are still full of culture and many many things to see. During the weekend sometimes lots of streets are closed and many artists just stand in the middle of the road and sing blues, it is awesome and the even though I took pictures of that, it can’t convey the sound and the vibe they give out while performing.
There are also many antique stores around. I felt that shopping is very unique there, there are many curiosities to check out.
I’ll let my photos narrate the rest of the story for you… The one last thing I want to say before finishing this 3 Post series is always try and go a different route than the regular route when discovering a new place and you’ll be happy you learned even more!

Este es mi tercer y último post de Nueva Orleans, pueden ver el primer post sobre mi viaje y explorar Nueva Orleans conmigo aquí, y segundo acerca de la calle Bourbon aquí.
Después de visitar los lugares más famosos de Nueva Orleans era hora de caminar hacia el otro lado. Cada vez que salíamos del hotel, la vocecita en mi cabeza me decía: Pssst, ve a la derecha esta vez en lugar de ir a la izquierda y vamos a explorar lo que está de ese lado, por favor, si, vamos?!
Así que finalmente pudimos agarrar para el otro lado, por suerte mi hermana estaba conmigo, a mi me gustan mucho los photowalks con gente así que qué bueno que mi hermana estaba dispuesta a ir y a esperar bastante mientras que yo me paraba en todos lados a tomar fotos! Bueno, ella está más o menos acostumbrada ya!
De una lado donde caminamos habían edificios de oficina normales, pero la arquitectura varía y te sorprende de repente ver edificios muy antiguos mezclados con los nuevos, me encanta ver todos los detalles en el camino como las manijas de las puertas bien viejas o el diseño de las alcantarillas por ejemplo.
La calle Bourbon es sólo una calle y larga, pero a su alrededor hay muchas otras calles que también están llenas de cultura y muchas muchas cosas que ver. Durante el fin de semana a veces cierran un montón de calles para que no pasen carros y hay bastantes artistas que se paran en el medio de la calle y cantan blues, es impresionante y demasiado chévere estar ahí, aunque les ponga muchas fotos, es difícil transmitir lo que se siente al escuchar su música y la vibra que elllos dan en ese momento!
También hay bastantes tiendas de antigüedades. Sentí que ir de compras por ahí es bastante chévere, se encuentran muchas curiosidades!
Voy a dejar que mis fotos narren el resto de la historia… La última cosa que quiero decirles antes de terminar esta serie 3 posts de Nueva Orleans es que siempre traten de tomar una ruta diferente a la ruta normal que vean y así van a descubrir muchas cosas nuevas!
