It’s the first time I see an specific set of dolls that are latinas. I thought this was very interesting. Meet the new fashion dolls inspired by latino culture Vi and Va. They are 4 dolls in total that are friends and family: Viviana (Vi) and Valentina (Va) are sisters and Felicia and Roxxi are their cousins.
I like that the packaging is bilingual (just like us!) and I love the colorful pattern designs all the dolls have. They also each have a hobby and come with a couple of accessories for the hobby.
Maya picked her favorite right away, she picked Felicia, she is an artist. The first thing Maya asked me was: Why is her name in Spanish? I thought that was interesting and cool at the same time because she is already identifying the Spanish and that they are different than other dolls even though she might not know it. It’s another way for her to embrace her latino heritage.
I think she chose Felicia because a)She looks like Maya and b) She has the paintbrush and Maya loves to draw and paint.
As soon as we opened the box she started using the paintbrush to do Felicia’s makeup! Then, another day she decided the doll needed a dog and she drew a dog for her, I thought that was so creative! Of course I know where that comes from!!
Maya doesn’t concentrate too much in playing with dolls so the fact that the dolls come with a hobby and the accessories to help I think sparks more imagination to play. I wonder what would she do with the others? We haven’t opened those, we might give them to friends so that they can all play together!

Es la primera vez que veo a un set de muñecas que son latinas o inspiradas en la cultura latina. Me pareció muy interesante. Les presento las nuevas muñecas de moda inspiradas en la cultura latina: Vi y Va. Son 4 muñecas en total que son amigas y familia también. Viviana (Vi) y Valentina (Va) son hermanas y Felicia y Roxxi son sus primas.
Me gusta que el empaque es bilingüe (¡igual que nosotros!) Y me encanta los patrones y colores de los diseños que tienen todas las muñecas. También cada una tiene un hobby y vienen con un par de accesorios para completar su hobby.

Maya escogió su favorita de inmediato, escogió Felicia, que es una artista. Lo primero que me preguntó Maya fue: ¿Por qué su nombre en español? Me pareció interesante y chévere al mismo tiempo, porque ya identifica que las muñecas tienen que ver con el español y que son diferentes a otras muñecas aunque a lo mejor no lo sabe de por sí. Es una manera más de que adopte su herencia latina.

Creo que eligió Felicia porque a) Ella se parece a Maya (es la rubia del grupo) y b) Felicia es artista y a Maya le encanta dibujar y pintar.
Apenas abrimos la caja comenzó a usar el pincel para maquilar a Felicia. Después otro día decidió que Felicia necesitaba un perro y le dibujó un perro, me pareció bien creativa! ¡Por supuesto que sé de donde viene!!
Maya no juega mucho con muñecas por lo que el hecho de que las muñecas vienen con un hobby y los accesorios creo que ayuda mucho a que la imaginación se eche a volar. Me pregunto ¿qué haría ella con las otras muñecas? No hemos abierto las demás, me gustaría dárselas a sus amiguitas para que todas puedan jugar juntas.
