Last week I was able to take Adrian for a special surprise in
Legoland: The unveiling of the new LEGO Star Wars™ Miniland Death Star Model Display. I know, it’s a long name and I personally didn’t know exactly what it until I saw the photo in the invite.
Since I know how much this boy loves Legos + Star Wars I thought it would be the perfect day for us two alone to spend a mother-son date. I didn’t tell him we were going until I picked him from school. Oh my goodness he was SO excited! We had a little time before the event to walk around the park and I don’t think he ever walked, he skipped the whole time 🙂
Legoland has a big area for Star Wars Miniland displays already and this is the newest biggest addition. It was very exciting to be there because moments before the real storm trooper came by and then Darth Vader as well, Adrian was really impressed! He met R2D2 who also moved and talked for real!!
The best part of this area is that it has a space for kids to build Starships with legos, Adrian wanted to stay there forever, we were really the last ones to leave!
The Death Star display is really impressive, it weighs 1900 lbs, it is 8 ft wide and it’s 13 ft high.
It definitely worth a visit, I hope you are able to see the proportion in my photos, the photos don’t show how huge it really is!
There is also smaller displays (on the bottom structure of it) that have buttons anybody can push to see animated pieces.
Our date was the best, it really helps to have time to connect with each kid separately,
we’ve done it before it has been a while since then and they are always changing and needing a little extra attention.
I want to do it more often with both!

La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de llevar a Adri a un paseo sorpresa especial a
Legolandia: La inauguración del nuevo modelo de la estrella de la muerte de LEGO Guerra de las Galaxias en Miniland. Ya sé, es un nombre larguísimo y yo personalmente no sabía exactamente lo que era hasta que vi la foto en la invitación.
Como sé lo mucho que le encanta a Adrian los Legos y también Star Wars me pareció perfecto para que fuéramos los dos solos y hacerlo un paseo especial madre-hijo. Yo no le dije a donde íbamos hasta que yo le recojí del colegio. ¡Ay como se emocionó! Tuvimos un poquito de tiempo antes del evento de caminar por el parque pero yo no creo que el caminó, se la pasó saltando todo el tiempo de la emoción 🙂
Legolandia tiene una área grande en Miniland dedicado a la Guerra de las Galaxias solamente y ahí es donde pusieron este nuevo modelo. Fue muy emocionante estar allí porque un poquito antes de la develación llegaron unos guardias (stormtroopers) y después hasta Darth Vader llegó también, Adrian estaba bien impresionado! Conoció a Arturito que hasta se movía y hablaba de verdad!!
La mejor parte de esta zona es que tiene un espacio para los niños puedan construir naves espaciales con legos, Adrian quería quedarse ahí todo el tiempo, la verdad fuimos los últimos en irnos del evento.
El modelo de la Estrella de la Muerte es realmente impresionante, pesa 1,900 libras, tiene 8 pies de ancho y 13 pies de alto. Definitivamente vale la pena la visita, espero que puedan ver mas o menos la proporción de cosa en mis fotos, en las fotos no se puede apreciar bien lo grande que realmente es!
En la misma estructura del modelo también hay pequeñas muestras de situaciones sacadas de las películas hechas con legos y tienen botones que cualquiera puede apretar y sale audio y se mueven un poco.
Nuestra tarde juntos fue muy chévere, realmente ayuda el tener tiempo para conectar con cada uno de nuestros hijos por separado
lo habíamos hecho antes, pero había pasado mucho tiempo y es que ellos van cambiando y necesitan estas atenciones de vez en cuando.
¡Quiero hacerlo más a menudo con los dos!
