Even though most days of the week I’m alone in my home office I do use makeup every day. It’s one of those things that makes it feel official. I can’t start the day without putting something on my face, getting dressed and using earings! It’s just not right.
There are 2 type of days for me: The ones where I go running and the ones I don’t. I’ll go through the routines for both of the days here.
Days when I go Running
I go running 3 times a week, I do it right after I drop-off the kids in school or camp and then I come home and that’s when I take a shower, do my makeup, etc. But even when I go running I do use a little something on my face, lately Neutrogena products are the ones ruling my face.
I use these: Some lotion, a touch of foundation and some mascara. I do get to see people when I drop off the kids and while I’m running and when I come back I take it off and do the same as the no running days below.
Days when I don’t run
I take care of myself first, I do my makeup, get dressed, everything before taking care of the kids. Derek leaves the house first to go to work, so I’m the only one getting them ready. The good thing is that they are growing up and they can do lots of things by themselves, specially Adrian.
With Maya sometimes I might go back and forth between getting her dressed, doing her hair and then finishing up my makeup for example but no matter what I still do it.
This is what I use: Lotion first, then some foundation, concealer stick, blush and mascara.
I usually don’t apply lipstick but I am trying to get into that habit because it just helps one feel even better all day.

I did get inspired and I got the MoistureSmooth Color Stick (the one on the photos), the color I got is Papaya, I really like the fact that it’s like a pencil; this color is a light color for me, you can see my makeup is super natural, I don’t go all out here but I’m covered, that’s how I like it! I also got the Shine Control Powder and I’m using it after everything.
Hey and sometimes I have virtual meetings, some of my amigas I work with are always saying I got specially ready for the meeting, LOL! But I always tell them no that’s how I was all day!! And they don’t believe me 🙁 Seriously, it would depress me a little to be in pijamas, no makeup, no hair done all day.
Oh and this helped me practice self portrait, it has been a while since I don’t do it, at the end of the photoshoot I always want to jump it seems like it! Like here or here!

A pesar de que la mayoría de los días de la semana estoy sola en mi oficinita de la casa yo me maquillo todos los días. Es una de esas cosas que hace que sea un día oficial de trabajo. No puedo empezar el día sin ponerme algo en la cara, vestirme y usar zarcillos (o aretes)!
Hay 2 tipos de días para mí: Los días en que voy a trotar y los días que no. Les cuento aquí sobre la diferencia de las rutinas de estos dos días.

Los días que troto
Yo salgo a trotar 3 veces a la semana, justo después de dejar a los niños en el colegio o en el campamento, y después de terminar de trotar llego a la casa y es cuando me baño, me visto, me maquillo, etc. Pero incluso cuando voy a trotar me pongo algo en la cara, últimamente los productos de Neutrogena son los que uso más.
Uso estos: Crema, un poquitico de base y rimel. La verdad si veo a bastante gente cuando dejo a los niños y mientras estoy corriendo también. Cuando regreso a la casa me lo quito y me aplico lo mismo que en los hay días que no troto.
Días que no troto
Usualmente trato de arreglarme yo primero antes de los niños. Derek sale de la casa primero para ir a trabajar, así que soy el única encargada en prepararlos. Lo bueno es que están creciendo mucho y pueden hacer muchas cosas solitos, sobretodo Adri.
Con Maya a veces me toca parar de arreglarme para ayudarla a vestirse o a peinarla y después me termino de maquillar por ejemplo, o a veces están los dos dormidos y yo aprovecho de arreglarme rápido, la cosa es que siempre lo hago y no me tardo mucho.
Esto es lo que yo uso: Primero crema, después base, corrector en lapiz, colorete (o rubor) y rimel, eo es todo.
Por lo general no me pongo pintura de boca, pero estoy tratando de ponerme más, la verdad es que ayuda a que uno se sienta mejor durante todo el día ¿no les parece?

La verdad inspiró a comprarme la pintura de boca que viene en lápiz: MoistureSmooth Color Stick (el de las fotos). El color que tengo se llama papaya, me gusta mucho que es un lápiz y este es un color un poco claro para mí pero como pueden ver mi maquillaje es muy natural, para todo el día me parece chévere ¡y me dura! También me compré el Shine Control Powder y me lo estoy poniendo después de aplicarme todo lo demás.
Ah y a veces tengo reuniones virtuales, algunas de mis amigas con quien trabajo siempre me están diciendo que yo me arreglé especial para la reunión, jajaja! Pero yo siempre les digo que no, que yo ya estaba así, pero no me creen, y bueno ya hay unas que si ya saben 🙂 En serio, me deprimiría un poco estar en piyamas, sin maquillaje y como una loca todo el día.
Tomarme estas fotos me ayudó a practicar autorretrato aunque la luz que tenía no era muy buena, pero había pasado mucho tiempo desde que no lo hacía. Y parece que al final de una sesión de fotos ¡como que siempre quiero saltar! ¡Miren aquí o aquí!
