I’ve been trying to decorate the patio since we moved here about 3 years ago. It’s been a very slow makeover and it still needs a lot but I feel I am now in a very good path.
A great help is that I partnered with Sherwin-Williams Latino. Yes! So now my imagination and ideas are the limit! The first post is this one: An Accent Table (The post is in Spanish, as always you can translate via Google Translate).
We got the patio furniture set last year and I’ve had the colorful bird bath but I knew I needed to add more COLOR! So I started with a little table.
Deciding the color wasn’t so easy, even though my favorite colors are teal, apple green and orange I still didn’t know! So I found a dish towel I had in my prop collection which I love but never used yet and based the colors on it (I even took it to the store to pick the colors). I made a pillow with it using this no-sew pillow tutorial and now the pillow is the base of our patio decor.
Of course this is just a little corner that I have styled with more colorful stuff, I am enjoying it so much! But I think it still needs more:
- Lots of more pillows
- A hanging string of lights maybe like this one.
- An outdoor rug
- More plants
- More colorful planters
- A metallic shelf for extra storage

ACENTOS DE COLOR EN EL PATIO
He estado tratando de decorar el patio desde que nos mudamos aquí hace unos 3 años. Ha sido un proceso muy lento y todavía necesita mucho, pero siento que ahora vamos en un muy buen camino.
Una gran ayuda es que me asocié con Sherwin-Williams Latino ¡Sí!, así que ahora mi imaginación y las ideas son el límite! El primer post es este: Mesita Auxiliar.
El año pasado conseguimos los muebles del patio por fin y tengo el baño del pájaros que es bien colorido, pero sabía que tenía que añadir ¡más COLOR! Así que empecé con una mesita auxiliar.
Decidir el color no fué tan fácil, a pesar de que mis colores favoritos son el azul aguamarina, el verde manzana y el anaranjado, la verdad no sabía de que color pintar la mesita. Así que busqué ayuda y encontré un pañito de cocina que tenía en mi colección props para fotos que me encanta, pero nunca lo había usado así que saqué los colores de ahí (me la llevé a la tienda y todo).
Y es que hasta ¡la convertí en cojín! Usé este tutorial para hacer cojines sin costuras y ahora es el cojín base de la decoración del patio.Por supuesto que Styled el pequeño rincón con cosas más colorido, estoy disfrutando mucho! Pero creo que aún necesita:
- Muchos más cojines
- Una cuerda de lucecitas como esta
- Una alfombra
- Más matas
- Más materos de colores
- Un estantico metálico para cositas extras
