¡Viva Navidad! at Disneyland Resort

The street party takes over Paradise Garden several times a day, featuring the Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Panchito from Mexico and José Carioca from Brazil) on a festive holiday float, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse transported on colorfully decorated street tricycles, flag-bearers carrying papel picado banners, Mexican folklorico dancers, samba dancers and drummers, plus giant “Mojiganga” puppets, including Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. 

Scroll down the post for a little video of the ¡Viva Navidad! street party I took that night, I love that the dancers sing to the music they are dancing and at the end they give high fives to the kids in the public and invite them to dance ❤.

It does have a huge part of Mexican culture which some might not feel identified with but you know what? I didn’t mind it, they have a battle in the street party with Mexican music and Samba from Brazil, I love the fact that they mixed the two types of music there (scroll down for the video).

They had lots of typical food, my MOST favorite was a mini Mexican concha shaped as Mickey, I was so enchanted by it that I brought some home and did a photoshoot cause I only saw them at night so pictures didn’t do it justice! I’ll share in another post just by themselves like they deserve.

That night was our first night at Disneyland, the kids were so excited and cute, we surprised them so seeing their faces as they got there was priceless, specially Maya which didn’t come to the park since she was a baby and now she’s able to enjoy it well.

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and enjoyed lots more the next day, and I’ll come back and share more of the Holidays at Disneyland, with tons more pictures!

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! se presenta en el área Paradise Garden de Disney California Adventure, las actividades especiales incluyen artesanías y pintura de caras para niños, música latina en vivo, lecciones de baile, delicias gastronómicas y la fiesta callejera “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party”.

La fiesta callejera “Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party” invade Paradise Garden varias veces al día con los Tres Caballeros (El pato Donald, Panchito de México y José Carioca de Brazil) a bordo de una carroza festiva, Mickey Mouse y Minnie Mouse transportados en coloridos triciclos, estandartes de papel picado, ballet folklórico mexicano, bailarines de samba, percusionistas y marionetas gigantes “Mojiganga”, incluyendo a Santa Claus y la Sra. Claus.

Vean en la mitad del post un pequeño video que hice de la fiesta callejera ¡Viva Navidad! esa noche, me encantó que los bailarines cantan la música que bailan y al final les dan “high fives” a los niños del público y los invitan a bailar con ellos ❤.

Si tiene una mayoría de la cultura mexicana incluida en todo, lo que algunos podrían sentirse no muy identificados, pero ¿saben qué? No me importó, en la fiesta callejera tienen una batalla entre la música mexicana y la Samba de Brasil, me encanta el hecho de que mezclaron los dos tipos de música (vean el video arriba!).

Tenían un montón de comida típica, mi favorito de todos fue una mini concha mexicana en forma de Mickey, estaba tan encantada con ella que me traje unas cuantas a la casa y les hice un photoshoot! Sólo los vi en la noche y con esa luz las fotos no le hacen justicia! Les voy a compartir en otro post solitos, como se merecen!

Esa noche fue nuestra primera noche en Disneyland, los niños estaban super emocionados y muy cuchis, los sorprendimos sin decirles nada antes que íbamos a Disneylandia así que ver sus caras cuando llegaron allí fué lo máximo, especialmente Maya que no venía al parque desde que era bebé y ahora ya disfruta todo mejor.

Nos quedamos en el hotel de Disneyland y disfrutamos mucho más al día siguiente, voy a volver a compartirles más de la época navideña en Disneyland, con un montón más de fotos!
