DC Comics Family Event, Blog & Giveaway!


Do you know about Comic-Con? The biggest international comic book convention in San Diego. I haven’t been in it yet, but this year we got invited to an event by DC Comics to celebrate their new DC Comics Fan Family blog and it was one of the same days of Comic-Con.

There are so many extra events outside of the conference, the city kind of transforms, it is amazing.

We took the trolley to get there because the parking is crazy. It was nice to ride in the trolley, kids always enjoy it.

At the event DC Comics had some snacks and some activities for the kids to do, they played with some of their new toys. Adrian loved the Quick Shots and the Joker Fun House game and I loved seeing Maya playing with the action figures.

The new family site is designed to have the best of the Super Heroes like Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman with a lot of fun, family-oriented content for us parents to share with our kids.
The blog will have:

  • DC Entertainment family-friendly news and information
  • DC Comics-themed activity sheets
  • DIY craft projects
  • Guest blog posts featuring DC Comics talent
  • The chance for fans to see their own artwork
We download a lot of printables for them to color and that usually keeps them excited. These last days that the kids were here with me because daycare was closed for a week before school starts I got some some cool printable bookmarks from their site, Adrian got entertained with those for a little while 🙂

Ustedes conocen la conferencia llamada Comic-Con? Es la conferencia internacional del comic y la hacen todos los años en San Diego. Yo no he entrado aún pero este año la gente de DC Comics nos invitó a un evento para celebrar su nuevo blog: DC Comics Fan Family blog y fué durante uno de los días de la conferencia y justito en la misma área.

Hay muchísimos eventos y cosas que ver afuera de la conferencia, la ciudad de San Diego se transforma, es increible.

Nosotros nos fuimos en el Trolley porque el estacionamiento se pone complicado. Fué chévere irnos ahí porque los niños siempre se divierten, es algo diferente.

La gente de DC Comics tenía unos snacks y actividades para que los niños hicieran, y también muchos de sus juguetes. Adrian jugó con el Quick Shots y el Joker Fun House, los dos le encantaron. Y me encantó ver a Mayita jugando con los muñecos y coloreando. 

El nuevo blog para las familias está diseñado con contenido especial de todos los super héroes como Superman, Batman y la Mujer Maravilla, todo divertido, orientado a la familia y dirigido a padres para compartir con nuestros hijos. El blog tendrá cosas como estas:

  • Información y noticias de DC Entertainment relacionadas con la familia 
  • Hojas de actividades de DC Comics
  • Proyectos de manualidades
  • Posts de invitados de talento de DC Comics
  • Publicación de los trabajos de los fans
Bajamos unos “imprimibles” para que los niños colorearan; esta semana que pasó los niños estuvieron conmigo porque la guardería estuvo cerrada antes de que empiezen las clases mañana y eso los mantuvo ocupados un tiempito, Adrian hizo estos marcalibros bien chéveres.
