LATISM 2012. How was it?

It was great! This conference is definitely worth it. What I like the most is that Latism still feels familiar, it’s big enough that you can meet new people but still get to see friends and have time to dedicate to both.

Let me tell you a little bit more about what went on…

The Adelante Movement by Coca Cola

Now this is really something! I was not expecting this event. This movement by itself is an event that has been touring around the country for a while. Founded by Nellly Galán, an amazing successful latina in the entertainment industry that now has the mission to empower other latinas together with some of her friends like Sandra Cisneros (famous author) and Nell Merino that were present as well.

There are no words that I could write here to express the impact of this event, it would be too long, all I can say is that if you have the chance to experience this, please GO! I cried, I laughed and I was moved and more importantly pushed! It’s so nice to feel supported, specially at this moment were I feel I’m in this path of learning so much about business and growing every second, support is always welcomed!

My favorite phrase of the ones they have is “Don’t buy shoes, buy a building” That’s what I am going to try and think about next time I want to buy a pair of shoes or something else that I shouldn’t, LOL!

Nintendo’s new WiiU
They had a full relaxing suite equipped with their new systems WiiU, I tried the new Let’s Dance game, I love it! Also Mario came in to visit, I took a picture of him and sent it to Adrian, I was nervous that he would either love it or hate it cause he wasn’t there (Mario IS his hero right now!) but I guess he was ok with it after all!

Of course there were comfy chairs, snacks, drinks and plugs to re-charge your electronics. I went there several times during Latism and just wanted to stay and keep playing dancing. I’m excited to work more with Nintendo in the future!

Even More
I went to several sessions mostly abut business and I did mine which was about Photography. I loved it because it was very hands-on and I think the people really learned some new tips for taking better pictures. Oh and I can’t forget to mention the Latism Award gala, many of my friends won an award, it was an amazing night! See you next year at Latism 2013 in NY for sure!!

LATISM estuvo buenísima! Esta conferencia me encanta, definitivamente vale la pena. Lo que más me gusta es que se siente uno como en familia, es lo suficientemente grande para conocer gente nueva y también para tener tiempo de dedicar a amigos de siempre.

Déjenme contarles un poquito más de lo que había…

El Adelante Movement de Coca Cola

Esto de verdad fué impresionante! No me lo estaba esperando para nada. Este movimiento por si mismo es un gran evento que está viajando por todo el pais. Fué fundado por Nely Galan, una mujer latina emprendedora y muy exitosa en la industria del entreteniemiento que ahora tienen como misión ayudar a muchas otras latinas a seguir sus sueños junto con amigas así como Sandra Cisneros (escritora) y Nell Merino que estuvieron presentes también.

No tengo palabras para describir aquí el impacto de este evento, tendría que escribir por años, lo que si les puedo decir que si tienen chance de ir VAYAN! Vale la pena. Yo lloré, me reí y me conmoví y lo más importante, me empujaron! Se siente muy chévere sentirse apoyada, en especial ahorita, que es cuando estoy en un momento de crecimiento de negocios y sentirse apoyada es lo máximo!

Una de mis frases favoritas de las que dijeron es “No compres zapatos, compra un edificio” Voy a pensar en eso cada vez que compre zapatos o alguna otra cosa más que no debería!

Pero sin bromas, vayann y vean su website, me encanta la misión!

El nuevo sistema de Nintendo WiiU
Tenían una suite super bien equipada con sus nuevos sistemas WiiU, yo jugué el Let’s Dance y me encantó. También pasó Mario a saludar y me tomé una foto con él y se la mandé a Adri, estaba nerviosa porque no sabía si le iba a gustar o se iba a poner bravo de no estar ahí (Mario es su ÍDOLO ahorita!) pero si le gustó después de todo 🙂

Porsupuesto que tenían unos silones muy cómodos, merienda, comida, bebidas y enchufes para cargar los aparatos electrónicos. Me paseé por ahí varias bveces durante Latism y quería quedarme y seguir jugando bailando! Que chévere tener la posibilidad de trabjar con  Nintendo en el futuro!

Fuí a varias sesiones más que todo en el rango de Negocioss y di la mía de fotografía, me encantó porque fué bastante práctica y creo que os que asistieron de verdad tuvieron la oportunidad de poder aprender tips que no sabían. Ah y no puedo dejar de mencionar  la gala de los premios Latism 2013, muchas de mis amigas ganaron premios, fué una noceh increible! Nos vemos en Latism 2013 en NY seguro!
