At the right moment

Growing up I always had my mom telling me, use lotion hija, your skin will thank you afterwards. In Venezuela it’s hard to actually feel the need to use lotion because it’s humid, so unless you went to the beach and had some tan and your skin needed it, you wanted to apply lotion. As a teenager or young adult, well, I didn’t listen to her 🙁

But as soon as I arrived to Mexico City (I lived there for 3 years), I felt my skin almost peeling because it was so dry! So from then on I started to use lotion everyday. Now living in California where it is also dry I still use them and my skin thanks me like my mamá said 🙂

When I went to Dominican Republic I could not use lotion because it was so humid! My skin felt very hidrated all them time but when I came back to the dry weather my skin was very thristy! LOL I know, it’s kind of funny to talk like this but it’s true. The best part of this is that Curél® Skincare asked me to try the new Curél® Intensive Healing Cream just in time when I needed it!

And let me tell you, I am loving it. if you have never tried an intensive healing cream I really recommended it, it is very thick and the best part is that it dries off quickly but you can feel it acting on your skin all day long, I feel the skin soft and hydrated which is a win here in this dry weather. I have also tried it on the kids (It is safe for babies after 6 months) and it has helped with the dry knees and elbows.

Behind the scenes
I have to say I also had fun taking pictures of the cream. If you know me, you know that’s my favorite part! This time I researched some similar products photos and got some ideas. I used some bath stuff I have at home and some scrap-booking paper.

One funny part is that the container was not full of cream cause I have used half already so I had to put something inside to get it to look full, the only thing I found the correct size was a small apple!! Hey it worked!! See below for my mini home studio setup, that’s always something fun to look at no?

Cuando era mucho más jovencita mi mamá siempre me decía: Hija usa crema que tu piel te lo agradecerá más tarde. En Venezuela el clima es bastante húmedo y la verdad no sentía la necesidad de usar crema todos los días, al menos que hubiera ido a la playa y la piel estaba super quemada y lo necesitara, así que pues no le hice mucho caso a mi mamá 🙁

Pero tan pronto llegué a México (Viví ahí por 3 años), sentí literalmente que mi piel se estaba pelando de lo seco del clima. Así que de ahí en adelante empezé a usar cremas todos los días del mundo. Ahora que vivo en California y que también es seco las sigo usando y mi piel si lo agradece como me dijo mi mamá!

Hace poco que fuí a República Dominicana dejé de usar crema poque estaba tan húmedo allá! Sentía mi piel super humectada todo el tiempo pero cuando regresé inmediatamente sentí la piel sequísima de nuevo. Y dejenme decirles que me ha encantado. Si nunca han probado una crema super intensiva se las recomiendo mucho, es bien gruesa o espesa pero cuando te la pones se seca rápido de la piel y la puedes sentir actuando durante todo el día. Yo me siento la piel suave e hidratada lo cual es siempre bueno para este clima tan seco. También la he probado en los niños (es buena para bebés a partir de 6 meses) y les hace bien en sus rodillas y sus codos.

Detrás de las cámaras
Les tengo que decir que disfruté mucho tomando las fotos. Si me conocen, ya sabrán que es mi parte favorita. Esta vez investigué y vi algunas fotos de productos de este mismo estilo y agarré ideas. Usé unos elementos de baño que tengo aquí en la casa y unos papeles de scrapbooking.

Lo más cómico es que como el envase de crema no estaba lleno y está por la mitad, le tuve que poner algo adentro para que se viera lleno y lo único que encontré fué una manzana pequeña!! Funcionó! Aquí en la foto de arriba pueden ver mi mini estudio que armo, siempre es chévere verlos no?
