Muffin Tray Activity

While Derek and me were busy preparing dinner and organizing around, the kids were almost pulling our legs and desperate for attention and I don’t know how but a light bulb shinned on top of my head all of a sudden and I brought the muffin trays out for an activity. I remembered loving this activity back when Adrian was potty training, remember? So this is what we did this time and I came up with 2 games depending on their age:

Muffin Tray activity for toddlers
For the little ones like Maya the game is easy, separate the same shapes into each hole of the tray. I didn’t have different things so I brought out these foam pieces we have from a craft kit. The cool thing is that they are different color so I did it by colors too. She instantly understood as soon as I set the example, she loved it and was entertained for a while. We took them out and started over several times.

For Adrian this time had to be harder so he good be challenged. So I grabbed 2 shapes pasta and beans. I wrote in a piece of paper several quantities of each of them. He had to count the shapes and place the exact amount on each hole. To indicate how many I drew a little oval (bean) and a stick (pasta) by each number and he had to count them as he placed them in the tray. He LOVED this, he finished them so quick each time and said: more Mami more!

I was kind of amazed at how they get entertained so easily sometimes. As you can see in the photos Adrian seemed to be quite happy about it!! I need to have more of these activities up my sleeve for other times!

Mietras Derek y yo estábamos ocupados preparando la cena y organizando un poco un día los niños estaban vueltos locos casi que jalándonos las piernas así que se me ocurrió de repente sacar los moldes de muffins para hacer una actividad. Yo siempre me acuerdo de esta actividad que hice con Adrian cuando lo entrené para ir al baño aquella vez, se acuerdan? Así que esta vez hice 2 tipos de juegos dependiendo de la edad, aquí van:

Actividad con Molde de Muffin para niños de 18 meses a 4 años
Para los chiquitines como Maya le juego es fácil, separar las diferentes figuras y ponerlas en cada huequito del molde. Yo tenía muchas formas esta vez así que saqué un paquetico de figuras acochaditas que tenemos de un kit de manualidades. Lo chévere es que son de diferentes colores y lo hicimos mas que todo por colores. Ella lo entendió casi que al instante, yo me asombré, apenas le hice el ejemplo ella repitió. Se entretuvo por un buen rato, sacamos y metimos las piezas varias veces.

Actividad en Molde de Muffins para niños de edad preescolar
Para Adri esta vez tenía que ser más dificil para que fuera un reto. Así que agarré 2 figuras que tenía: pasta y frijoles. Escribí en papel varias cantidades correspondientes a cada forma. El juego era contar las respectivas figuras y poner la cantidad indicada en cada huequito del molde. Para indicarle las cantidades correspondientes, le escribí los números al lado de un óvalo (frijol) y un palito (pasta). A él le ENCANTÓ y cada vez que terminaba con los números que le escribí me decía: más Mami más!


Yo me impresioné bastante, cómo se entretienen a veces con algo tan sencillo no?! Como podrán haber visto en ciertas fotos Adrian se ve un poco emocionado! jajaja! Debería de tener más de estos “jueguitos” guadados en mi cabeza para otros momentos!
