Holiday Inspired

Around this time of the year I usually get so inspired with all the pretty holiday decorations, crafts, gift giving ideas and whatever I see out there, everything is so eye candy!

The problem is I usually don’t do as much as want to. So, because we moved this year and we have our own little place I still feel that little worm that makes me “do” more, so I need to take advantage, I want to make a difference this time, just stop looking and start doing!

I got this Holiday Martha Stewart magazine (the one in the pics) the other day to help me out, I love having a real book or magazine to look at, I do find lots of inspiration in the internet but the printed work is always essential for me. I bookmarked what I might be able to do: A Painted Sweetgum-Fruit Wreath, Monogram Tags for the gifts and the most ambitious: the Glowing Pine Cone Bouquet.

I’m also pretty sure I’ll make these pine cone place-sets (from Martha Stewart) for Thanksgiving dinner with Adrian, we have a lot of pine cones around here and he wants to collect them, so this looks like the perfect craft to do with him!

And last but not least, check out the digital magazine GIFTED from Ez at Creature Comforts blog (picture at the bottom of the post), many many great gift ideas under $30, I love her style so many of the gifts she picked are actually things I would consider! Thanks for your inspiration Ez!

Alrededor de estas fechas usualmente me inspiro mucho en todas las decoraciones de Navidad y de las fiestas, los proyectos para hacer manualidades, las ideas de que regalar y basicamente todo lo que veo por ahí, hay tantas cosas bellas!

El problema es que usualmente no hago tanto como me gustaría hacer. Este año como nos mudamos todavía tengo ese gusanito que me hace ordenar más la casa, decorar, etar pendiente de arreglar todo un poco más de lo usual, y es chévere así que lo voy a aprovechar, esta vez quiero que cambien las cosas y quiero dejar de mirar y empezar a poner manos a la obra!

Me compré esta revista de “Holiday” de Martha Stewart (La que puse en las fotos del post) para ayudarme, la verdad me gusta mucho tener algo impreso porque en la internet consigo muchísima información pero no hay nada como el material impreso, para mi es escencial. Marqué las cosas en la revista que me parece puedo hacer: Una rosca de adorno hecha con las fruticas secas de unos árboles, Unas targetas estilo monograma para los regalos y una cosa un poco ambiciosa: Un Bouquet de piñas de pino.

También estoy casi segura de que voy a hacer los puestos para la mesa de Acción de Gracias (de Martha Stewart) con Adri (en forma de pavo, hechos con piñas y plumas, foto arriba), es la manualidad perfecta para el que está casi desesperado por agarrar todas las piñas que tenemos a nuestro alrededor.

Y por último, miren la revista digital GIFTED de Ez en el blog Creature Comforts, hay muchísimas ideas de regalos para todos por menos de $30, a mi me encanta su estilo y ya vi muchas cosas que consideraría. Gracias por tanta inspiración Ez!
