Blogalicious 2011

I’m back from a wonderful trip to another blogger conference: Blogalicious in Washington DC.

There is a learning curve to these conferences, I feel like the more I go the more I learn how to network more efficiently, how to take notes at a session, how to pick which sessions to go and which one not. This time it wasn’t much about the sessions but the networking. And that is one of the most valuable experiences in a conference, because when you meet people face to face it’s easier to remember them. It is amazing what the personal and the vibe that we have influences. So the blogging world is digital but we rely a lot on the “real” life contact. I think after several months I’m going to still remember many of the new people I met at Blogalicious, it also helped that it wasn’t as huge as BlogHer, remember?

I worked with Latina Bloggers Connect and Sprint over there, they lent me an HTC EVO 3D phone and I was in charge of snapping pictures and sharing them via LBC’s Facebook page and my twitter. I LOVED the phone, I already have an Android so I am used to the interface but I love the big screen it has and how easy it is to connect and share while in the conference. So thank you Sprint for providing it! In fact I made a recap of the conference over at Latina Bloggers Connect together with Rachel and I’m sharing most of the pictures I took with the EVO over there, go take a look!

In this post are my pictures with my regular camera (plus some pictures from friends that are marked). As I have mentioned before, it is hard for me to take pictures when I am at a conference but this time I realized that I could snap away with the phone which was much easier cause of course and then when I had some free time I went and wondered around just to take photos. I found myself wanting to take pictures of nature a lot, I think I love that, specially when the place looks so different than where I live!

Estoy de regreso de un viaje muy chévere a otra conferencia de blogueras: Blogalicious en Washington DC.

Hay un poquito de aprendizaje para poder aprovechar esta conferencencias al máximo, siento que mientras más voy, más aprendo a como hacer mejor “networking”, a cómo tomar mejores notas en una sesión, a cuáles ir o no. Esta vez lo mejor no fueron las sesiones sino el “networking” y esa es una de las mejores partes de una conferencia y lo que que aprovechar porque al conocer a la gente cara a cara es mucho fácil acordarse de ellos y vice-versa. Es impreionante como esa vibra que tenemos lo que influye en las relaciones, es muy importante! Así que el mundo de los blogs será virtual pero necesitamos bastante ese mundo “real” de la vida. Creo que después de unos cuantos meses seguiré acordándome de los que conocí en Blogalicious, también influye que no es ta grande como BlogHer, se acuerdan?

 

Trabajé con Latina Bloggers Connect y Sprint allá, me prestaron un celulcar HTC EVO 3D y estuve encargada de tomar muchas fotos y compartirlas a través de la página Facebook de LBC de y en mi Twitter. Me FASCINÓ el teléfono, yo también tengo un Android y estoy acostumbrada al mismo sistema pero me encantó la pantalla grande y lo fácil que fué conectarse y compartir allá. Así que gracias Sprint por prestármelo! En el blog de LBC Rachel y yo hicimos otro resumen de la conferencia con muchas de las fotos que tomé con el teléfono, vayan a ver que tal!

En este post puse mis fotos con mi cámara normal (mas algunas de amigas marcadas). Como les he mencionado antes, es dificil para mi tomar fotos en una conferencia pero esta vez me di cuenta de que podía tomar y tomar fotos con el teléfono todo el tiempo y luego cuando tenía raticos libres me iba a tomar fotos por ahí! ME di cuenta de que me gusta mucho tomar fotos de detalles y de la naturaleza, sobretodo cuando el paisaje es bastante diferente a mi paisaje diario!
