The movie Rio, we love it!! {DVD Giveaway}

We weren’t able to watch this movie when it came out and that’s why I was so happy to receive it to check it out. It comes out in DVD and Blue-Ray tomorrow August 2nd. Well, we’ve watched it a gazillion times now, Adrian keeps asking and asking for it. I’m really happy to say yes, even if I don’t watch it I like to listen to it in the background cause the music is the best!

If you haven’t watched it I really really recommend it! It’s a light and easy going movie, cute and filled with the perfect combination of very good graphics and fun for kids and adults. The DVD has several extras, some to explore the real Rio with pictures and video, and some were they show the recording of the music and the making of the movie. One of our favorites was the dance mix, it shows you step-by-step how to dance along with each character. Adrian kept dancing and dancing!

But let me tell you about the music, the executive producer for it is the maestro Sergio Mendez and in my opinion they made a good blend of classical Brazilian rhythms and modern sounds, I don’t know how to describe it, you’ll have to listen for yourself! I included 2 videos of the music, my favorite is Take you to Rio by Ester Dean & Brown (see below) and my second favorite is Hot Wings I Wanna Party by will i am, Jamie Foxx and Anne Hathaway (scroll down to check it out).

There is also a cool app for the iphone and the android, we downloaded and played with it for a while. You can choose a character to color, it’s very nice, it has a little music background too, we loved it too!

EXTRA: if you are in LA Thursday the 4th there is an event at the Americana mall with Sergio Mendez!!! Imagine that, I would definitely go if I was there!! Que cool! (Details at the end of the post)

Nosotros no tuvimos la oportunidad de ver esta películ en el cine así que yo encantada de recibirla en DVD para verla en la casa. Sale al mercado en DVD y Blue-Ray mañana 2 de agosto. Bueno, verla es poco, la hemos puesto como mil veces ya, Adrian la pide a cada ratico y a mi no me importa mucho aunque la tenga de fondo y yo no la vea, le música me fascina!
Si no la han visto de verdad que se las recomiendo muchísimo, es una película ligera, sin mucho rollo, y tiene la combinación perfecta: las imágenes buenísimas de animación y divertida el diálogo para los niños y para los adultos. El DVD trae bastanets extras, algunos de ellos se peude explorar al verdadero Rio de Janeiro con fotos y videos y otros donde enseñan como se grabó la música y se hizo la animación. Uno de nuestros favoritos es el dance mix, te enseñan paso a paso como bailar como cada personaje de la película. Adrian lo puso mil quinientas veces y baila que te baila!

Pero les cuento que la música, wow! El productor ejecutivo es el mero Sergio Mendez! y en mi opinión hicieron una mezcla perfecta de la música brasileña clásica con sonidos modernos, nose cómo se describe ese tipo de música, tendrán que escucharlo para que sepan. Aquí en el post les puse 2 videos de la música. Mi canción favorita es Take you to Rio de Ester Dean y Carlinhos Brown (está arriba) y i segundo favorito es Hot Wings I Wanna Party de will i am, Jamie Foxx y Anne Hathaway (aquí abajo está).


También hay una aplicación para el iphone y android, ya la bajamos y jugamos por un buen rato. Es para colorear a los personajes de la película, está bien chévere!
EXTRA: Si están en Los Angeles este Jueves 4 va a haber un evento en el Americana con Sergio Mendez! Imagínense! Yo estaría puesta si estuviera en LA mañana!! Que cool!! (Aquí abajo están los detalles)

    Me encantaria tener la pelicula en acasa. Cuando fuimos a verla al cine, nos gusto por su historia, la musica, los personajes…en fin, es muy completa! Ojala la pudieramos tener para verla muy seguido 🙂
