Our holidays are going to be different this year because we will have a very special guest in town: My dad. We wont be traveling anywhere but he will be doing so all the way from Venezuela. We are beyond excited, he is arriving at the end of this week! I’ve been training Adrian already so he knows all about Abuelo since we don’t see him so often.
The word abuelo is funny in Adrian’s vocabulary because if somebody says it in English to him he immediately says: No, it’s my abuelo! Grandpa doesn’t live in Caracas! So keep in mind this is his Abuelo not his grandpa!
The opportunity came for us to review this Abuelito doll and I thought, great timing!
And it has been great, I’ve seen them before at the store and I love these dolls, they are soft, lovable and the most important thing: They sing traditional hispanic songs! Anything that can help me with teaching and preserving my heritage and culture for the kids I welcome!

Adrian is already singing the songs he didn’t know already, I’m still amazed how much of a sponge they are. He plays the songs over and over again so he can learn them! I’m loving it so far, the cool thing is that it’s a doll but it’s good for boys and girls. Adrian is fascinated with it and when Maya grows more I’m sure she’ll love it too.
Papá, message for you, come prepared with the lyrics of these songs!!

Nuestras Navidades van a ser un poquito diferentes este año porque vamos a tener un invitado muy especial, mi papá. No viajaremos a ningún lado pero el sí vendrá desde Venezuela. Estamos super emocionados todos, ya llega a finales de la semana! Yo he estado entrenando a Adrian ya ya sabe todo acerca del abuelo aunque no lo ve muy a menudo. La palabra Abuelo es una palabra especial en el vocabulario de Adrian ya que si alguien le habla en inglés refiriéndose a el como grandpa Adrian dirá: No! Ese no es mi abuelo, grandpa no vive en Caracas! Así que este es su abuelo no su grandpa, jaja!
Se me presentó la oportunidad de dar mi opinión acerca de este muñeco Abuelito Pancho y pensé, si! el momento es perfecto!
Ya los había visto anteriormente en las tiendas y me encantan, son suaves, cuchis y lo mejor de todo: Cantan canciones de niños latinas tradicionales en español! Cualquier cosa que me ayude a mi aquí para enseñar y preservar mi cultura es bienvenida!!

Adrian ya está cantando todas las cacnciones que no se sabía. Me impresiona tanto como de verdad absorven todo como esponjas, le da play mil quinientas veces para aprendérselas. Me fascina el muñeco, lo más chévere es que es bueno para niños y para niñas. Ahorita Adrian lo está usando pero seguro que cuando Maya esté más grandecita le va a gustar también.
Así que un mensaje para ti papi: Apréndete estas canciones antes de llegar!

Ese muñeco se ve divino… voy a averiguar un poco más.

p.d. En la versión en inglés dice 10% en vez de 100% 😉
