DIY Toddler Bed

Adrian has a new big boy bed! And we built it for him!!

As part of the preparation for baby Maya, we made this bed at the end of last year. We needed the crib for Maya and he was also very ready to sleep in a bed and not a semi-crib (crib without the sides).

Y nosotros se la hicimos!

Como parte de la preparación para cuando naciera Maya le hicimos esta camita el final del año pasado. Necesitábamos usar su cuna para la bebé y además estaba requete listo para dormir en una cama y no en una cuna (aunque sin las barandas)

This was very very easy to make, I got the idea at Designmom.com, she made them and then created the easy to follow directions on Design Sponge and very inexpensive too. I got to say we are not so handy on big DIY projects but this was a walk in the park!

If we would have to do it again I would build a twin bed since he will have more room to grow, but this is fine and I think it will last him maybe 3 more years!

La verdad fué muy muy fácil de hacer, saqué la idea de Designmom.com, ella la hizo y después puso als instruciones en Design Sponge, y además sale bien barata. Debo añadir que nosotros no somos muy expertos en proyectos caseros como este pero la verdad esto estuvo demasiado fácil!

El único detale que agregaría es que si tuviera la oportunidad de volverla a hacer la haría de tamaño twin porque así le dura más para cuando crezca. De todas maneras creo que esta le durará unos 3 años más!
