How old are you? TWO / Cuantos años tienes? DOS!

Officially we now have a 2 year old at home!!!
Oficialmente ya tenemos a un niñito de 2 años en la casa!!

Adrian had a great party with some of his friends and family, we celebrated it the weekend before his birthday at home. The party was Thomas themed and he love all of it. He remembers a lot of things and he still talks about it sometimes. He says:
-Mami! puckcake, Thomas, Birthday, Adrian
-Mami! balloons, far way (he let go the balloon and it flew off)
-Mami! piñata Thomas, candy
-Mami, wook, Birthday puckcake!

Le celebramos el cumpleaños a Adrian con una fiesta en la casa el fin de semana antes de su cumple. La fiesta fué de “Thomas and Friends”, su favorito, estaba tan emocionado al ver todas las cosas de Thomas, y señalaba a cada rato a todo nombrando los trenes y diciendo WOW! Se acuerda mucho de su fiesta y dices cosas como estas:
-Mami! puckcake, Thomas, Birthday, Adrian
-Mami! balloons, far way (globos, lejos)-soltó el globo y se fué para arriba.
-Mami! piñata Thomas, candy (caramelos)
-Mami, wook, Birthday puckcake! (ponquecito de cumpleaños)

So, yes, we had cupcakes, piñata and balloons, he shared all his toys with his friends and was very excited with his presents. He almost fell sleep playing but since the Gillespies where in Los Angeles for the weekend, we where all there at home and he was excited to be a part of the activities, like watching a movie and didn’t want to go to bed at his regular time.

Entonces, porsupuesto, hubo ponquecitos, piñata y globos. Compartió sus juguetes con sus amiguitos y se emocionó mucho abriendo los regalos. Casi, casi se durmió jugando pero como la familia Gillespie estaba en la casa y se quedaron hasta tarde después de la fiesta el estaba muy emocionado de participar en todo con todos y no se quería ir a dormir aunque estaba muerto!

And he now answers when you ask him, how old are you? he’ll say: two. He will also answer in Spanish: Dos

I’m still so in-love with this stage of Adrian. He comes to me a lot and hugs me and kisses me, he keeps saying I O U out of the blue, I can’t stand it!!!!
Yes, he still screams like there is no tomorrow but my patience is building up and I went back to read parts of that book my sister gave me, it’s been very helpful and I love their technique, we keep studying it and now that we can negotiate with Adrian it seems to be a little easier. The hardest part is when we’re not at home and we can’t let home stay and scream in his room, but little by little we have to build it strong at home so when we’re out he can also understand.

Yo todavía estoy enamorada de esta etapa de Adrian. Viene a cada rato a darme abrazos y besos y a decirme de la nada “Te quiero mucho”, ayyyy, es que me lo como!!!
Todavía echa sus gritos durísimo pero bueno, me estoy armando de paciencia día a día y ya he releido unas partes del libro que me regaló mi hermana hace tiempo y la verdad es de gran ayuda, me gusta mucho la tecnica que enseñan allí y al parecer cada vez se hace un poquitico más fácil porque podemos negociar con el. Lo más dificil es cuando no estamos en la casa y no lo podemos dejar que grite todo lo que quiera en su cuarto pero poco a poco.

I was planning to post about Trick or Treat but it has been too long so I still uploaded pictures to flickr, check them out there and of course lots more pictures of the party!

Estaba planeando hacer un post de Trick or Treat pero se pasó el tiempo y me pareció un poco tarde, así que de todas maneras puse las fotos en flickr, pasen por allá para que las vean y también para que vean más fotos de la fiesta.

This was Adrian’s official birthday day (Last Wednesday the 12) We got a cupcake for him and he almost ate it all. If it wasn’t because I asked him: Do you want to watch Thomas? Ok mami, All done!

Este fué el día oficial del cumpleaños de Adrian (el 12 de Noviembre). Le cantamos cumpleaños con un ponquecito, a el le fascinó y casi se lo comió todo hasta que le tuve que preguntar: Quieres ver a Thomas? Y dijo: Si, ya terminé mami!
